Slocum is having a sloop of the 'S' class built by Herreshoff, the six-meter boat [Sheila #861s] from the designs of W. Sterling Burgess for Paul Hammond is planked and the launches for Edgar Palmer's new auxiliary schooner Guinivere, building at Lawley's, are completed." (Source: Anon. "Notes from the Week's Log." "For Guinevere, as per plan 2-101 and Rudder October 1921, p. 6 (Owner launch). Guinevere was a 195' LOA, 165' LWL three-mast schooner that had been launched on April 21, 1921 at Lawley's Yard in Neponset, Boston for Edgar Palmer." (Source: van der Linde, Claas. October 26, 2009.)

"30'-5 1/2" x 7'-1" Owners Launch for the Palmer Yacht. R.E.W. [Apparently drawn by Ralph E. Winslow.] ASdeWH June 30, 1920. [Approved by.] Job No. 10836. Frames Spaced 3 1/2", use moulds of #277 [Isabel] in book for #276 [Launch for S. Y. Intrepid, Model 0419] but with gunwales brought in and sheer raised as in pencil in book as as per above offsets. Keel white oak 5" x 1 3/8" tapers for'd from #12. False keel white oak 2 3/8" thick. Stem white oak about 4[?]" wide. Timbers white oak moulded 1 1/8", sided as per table. Planking 5[?]/16" cedar + 5/16" full mahogany. Stern board 3/8" teak varnished. Clamps O.P. in 3 sections 1 7/8" x 2[?] 3/4" tapering to 1 7/8" x 1 7[?]/8" under forward and after decks. Deck beams generally 1 1[?]/2" x 3/4" white oak or ash, crown 6" in 9'-6". Deck 5/16" cedar + 5/16" teak, varnished. Coaming 5/8" teak 5 3/4" above deck. Water tight bulkheads 5/16" cedar + 5/16" cedar. B'H'D stiffeners 1 1/2" x 3/4" white oak spaced 9 1/2". Florring teak slats 1/2" thick x 1 1/4" wide. Floor beams 1 1/2" x 3/4".
